For float and sauna studios
Glow Line for float and infrared sauna studios
A float studio runs on fixed sessions: a 60-minute float, a 40-minute infrared sauna, a short gap between to clean and reset the room. Whoever should answer the phone is resetting a room or checking someone in. Glow Line answers with your sessions, prices and what-to-bring notes, takes the request and texts it to you.
Incoming call, Friday 7:10 pm
- Can two of us float at the same time? It is for a birthday on Sunday.
- Thanks for calling Stillpond Float and Sauna. There are two float rooms. A first float is $75 for 60 minutes, and the sauna for two is $65.
- Lovely. What if he feels closed in?
- The room light can stay on and the door never locks. I can request two floats and the sauna for Sunday. What time suits, and your name and mobile?

What gets in the way for float and sauna studios
Rooms turn over on the hour
Between sessions there are a few minutes to clean the room, refresh the towels and get the next client settled. A phone call in that gap makes the next client wait or the room go unchecked.
First-timers ask the same things
What to bring, whether to eat first, whether towels are provided, what happens if they feel closed in. Write each answer once in notes and the assistant gives it to every caller who asks.
Health questions are not for the phone
Callers ask about floating while pregnant, with a skin condition or with blood pressure concerns. The assistant answers none of it; it says the team will confirm, and you call back with your own policy.
Packs, memberships and gift vouchers
Three-float packs, a monthly membership and vouchers come up all year, and most of all in December. List each as a service with a price and write the rules in notes so the assistant gives them correctly.
A worked example
Float and sauna studio work, with Glow Line
Stillpond Float and Sauna has two float rooms and an infrared sauna room that fits two, open 9 am to 9 pm Wednesday to Sunday and run by a couple who do everything themselves. The list on Glow Line has seven services: a first float at $75 for 60 minutes, a float at $90 for 60 minutes, a 90-minute float at $115, a three-float pack at $225, a single infrared sauna at $40 for 40 minutes, the sauna for two at $65 for 40 minutes, and a float then sauna at $115 for 100 minutes. Notes say towels, earplugs and shower products are provided, not to shave on the day, to eat lightly an hour before, that the float room light can stay on and the door never locks, that vouchers are valid for three years, and that health questions are answered by the team, who will call back.
On a Friday at 7:10 pm, with both rooms mid-session and the sauna being reset, a caller asks whether two people can float at the same time for a birthday on Sunday. The assistant says there are two float rooms, gives the first float price and the sauna for two, and when she asks what happens if her partner feels closed in, reads the note about the light and the door. It takes her name, mobile, two first floats and the sauna, and a preference for Sunday afternoon. The owner reads the text at 7:45 pm and offers floats at 2 pm side by side, then the sauna together at 3:15 pm.
The visit comes to $150 for two first floats plus $65 for the sauna, $215 in all. Over the month the line answered 44 calls, four past Line's 40, each answered and marked. With December voucher calls coming, the owners moved up to Salon at $84 a month for 200 calls.
Questions from float and sauna studios
Can it answer first-timer questions?
Yes, from notes: what to bring, what you provide, eating beforehand, and what happens if someone feels closed in. Write each answer once and the assistant gives it to every caller who asks.
What does it say if someone asks whether floating is safe in pregnancy?
It says it is not sure and that the team will confirm. Health questions are passed on in your text, so you answer them with your own policy, never the line.
Can it sell a membership or a voucher over the phone?
No. It gives the price and the rules you listed and takes a request. It never takes payment details; you send the voucher or set up the membership yourself after you reply.
Can callers ask for back-to-back sessions?
They can request them, for example a float and then the sauna. The assistant cannot see which rooms are free, so you confirm the times by text.
