Marketing consent

The sentence you tick

On the Free plan, sign-up shows this sentence beside an unticked box:

I agree to receive marketing from Glow Tally and its partners about business growth and advertising services, by email and phone. Unsubscribe any time.

Free costs no money. The consent is what pays for it. The box is not ticked for you; you tick it.

What it means

Glow Tally and the partner named on the partners page (linked from the words its partners beside the box) may contact you about business growth and advertising services. By email means emails. By phone means phone calls, including calls made by an automated voice. It never means text messages. The partners page is kept out of search engines; it exists so that you can see who is meant before you tick.

What is recorded

The sentence as shown, its version number, the time, your IP address and your browser. If the sentence ever changes, the version number changes, and a consent you gave earlier is still a consent to the sentence you saw then.

How to withdraw

Any of these works, at any time:

  • The unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Replying stop to any marketing email.
  • Asking the caller to stop, on any call.
  • From your account.

Withdrawal is recorded with the method you used. Marketing contact stops.

What withdrawal does to your account

The Free plan is paid for by the consent, so withdrawing it ends the arrangement. Marketing stops at once. The free plan runs to the end of the current month, Melbourne time, and then ends, unless you choose Line or Salon or give the consent again from your Account page, which keeps Free going. Nothing is deleted at the moment of withdrawal, and you can ask us to delete the account at any time.

Line and Salon carry no marketing consent. Signing up to a paid plan ticks no box, and you will not be contacted about advertising services under this consent.

A lapsed paid plan

If a paid plan ends and you choose to carry on for free, the same sentence is shown again with the same unticked box, and the same rules apply.
