What the assistant says, and what it will not

The opening line, the rules the assistant follows on every call, and the things it is built never to do.

Every call opens with the same sentence: thanks for calling, then your business name, then this is the virtual assistant for the team. Callers know from the first words that they are not speaking with you.

The assistant answers in plain Australian English, in short sentences, from your saved list only: the services with their prices and durations, your hours by day, and your notes. If a caller asks about anything not on the list, it says it is not sure and that the team will confirm.

When a caller wants to book, it asks for their name, their mobile, the service and the day and time they prefer. It never confirms a booking; it says the team will confirm by text.

If someone asks for a person, it says the team is with clients and will call back, and takes a message. It cannot transfer calls or put anyone on hold.

It never invents a price, a service, a time or a policy, and it never takes payment or card details. These rules are built in and cannot be switched off. Everything else it knows is yours to change on the Receptionist page.

Did this answer it? If not, write to us and a person replies within one business day.
